Classroom Rules:
1. Follow directions the first time given.
2. Raise your hand to speak and wait for the teacher to call on you.
3. Respect others—no teasing.
4. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
5. Make good use of work time.
6. All assignments will be handed in on time.
7. Students will come prepared with all necessary materials to each class.
Consequences for Breaking the Rules:
Name on board = Warning.
Name plus X = 15 minutes after school.
Name plus XX = 30 minutes after school.
Name plus XXX = 30 minutes after school and a parent contact.
Name plus XXXX = 45 minutes after school, parent contact, principal contact.
Severe Clause = Sent to principal.
All detention that is not served at the assigned time will
be doubled..
Rule infractions will be tallied throughout the entire school day.
Rewards:
Verbal praise;
Reward tickets for prize drawings;
Treats;
Special privileges.
These rules are in place to protect the learning environment
for all the students in our classes. Parents will be notified before any
after school time has been spent. Thanks you for your support!
Course Procedures and Practices
I. Specifically indicates how students will be graded
A. Grades will be based on accumulated points.
B. The points will be accumulated from daily lessons,
tests, quizzes, and daily work, using the standard district grading
system of:
A = 100-90%
B = 89-80%
C = 79-70%
D = 69-60%
F = 59% or below.
II. Daily Work and Lessons
A. Daily work is assigned one day and due upon entering
that class the following day. If a student does not complete the assigned
work during the class period, s/he will be required to complete the
assignment for homework.
B. Heading - The following heading will be written in
the upper right-haned corner on all assignments:

Subject/pages
C. All assignemnts will be completed on standard (8
1/2 x 11") paper, unless otherwise stated by classroom teacher.
Math assignments will be:
- completed in pencil (not colored);
- organized in vertical columns with each answer circled;
- neat and clean.
III. Make-up Work
A. Students are responsible for obtaining missing assignments
and completing them on time.
B. Two school days will be allotted for each excused
absence.
c. Make-up work must be turned in to the teacher during
the regular class period.
IV. Homework
A. Homework will be due upon entering the class the
following day it is given, unless otherwise stated by teacher. If
a student does not enter the classroom with his/her assignment in
their possession, the student loses ten percent (10%) of the assignment's
final grade. The student has twenty-four (24) hours to turn the assignment
in, with this freduced credit, or the grade will be a zero (0) and
must still be completed.
B. The first day that the student enters the classroom
without their homework, a detention will be issued. A detention slip
will be sent home, to be signed by the student's parent or guardian
and returned the next day.
C. All assignemnts must be completed to the best of
the student's ability. If a student does not complete an assignment,
due to the student's lack of understanding, a tutoring session will
be scheduled for the student to complete the assignment with teacher's
help.
V. Extra Credit
A. Extra-credit work will be negotiated by the student
and teacher prior to starting any projects/assignments.
B. Only those students who have completed all required
assignments/projects will be allowed to complete extra-credit assignments/projects.
