Mr. Tim Bauer was born and raised in Northwest Washington State and served in the United States Air Force for seven years. He completed his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education/English from the University of Maine. After teaching for several years in the lower 48, Tim and his family relocated to Alaska. He wasted no time getting into the administrative side of education and has received his Master’s in Education through the University of Alaska-Anchorage and a Graduate certificate in Special Education from UA-Anchorage as well. Mr. Bauer also received his Superintendent Endorsement through the University of Alaska-Southeast.

Tim Bauer comes to Valdez with a wealth of educational experience both in and out of Alaska. Tim served as Principal, Special Education Director, Superintendent, and Human Resources Director throughout Alaska prior to arriving in Valdez.

Tim absolutely loves Alaska and is especially happy to be in Valdez.
