Valdez City Schools is committed to keeping kids safe and in school. To help us, please keep the following admonitions in mind:
- If you are sick stay home
- Mask are encouraged and recommended in indoor settings
- If any student or member of a student’s household tests positive for COVID-19, families are encouraged to contact the school nurse so that we can begin contact tracing to minimize the risk of transmission in our schools. The school nurse can be reached at (907) 835-4747
- Any student who is connected to a positive COVID-19 case must be picked up from school immediately
By doing these things we increase our ability to remain open and to provide in person learning to our students
Tonight the VCSD school board approved the 2021-2022 school reopening plan. The plan can be viewed on the VCSD website https://www.valdezcityschools.org/domain/1287 The plan includes green, yellow, and red operating levels. Tomorrow school will begin in the yellow operating level.
