I grew up in Ohio and always dreamed of traveling to Alaska. I went to Kent State University, as a music major, and had the pleasure of working at a education conference where Alaskan educators were present. I was amazing to learn about the opportunities to teach in Alaska and was excited to learn all that this state had to offer. I moved to Alaska in 1992 and taught in Metlakatla for 3 years. I then moved to Valdez where my life would forever be changed. I have called Valdez my home for 26 years and look forward to many more.

Happily Married, 2 adult kids and loyal four-legged friend 

Music is my everything. I love to sing and play instruments. I love sparking the love for music in the elementary students that attend HHES.

I am looking forward to a musical year.
